Weedy Seadragon Art Print
Weedy Seadragon - Phyllopteryx taeniolatus
The spectacular colours and shy nature of the beautiful Weedy Seadragon makes it a special sight. They make their home in kelp forests and sea grass meadows across Southern Australia, and in lutruwita/Tasmania you may encounter them around Bruny Island, the Derwent Estuary and the East Coast.
This little guy is known for being one of the only species where the male solely takes care of the eggs, keeping them safe on the underside of his tail where the female lays them, until they hatch. Go Dad!
Bobby Seaford prints are museum grade reproductions of our original watercolour work, painted by the sea in lutruwita/Tasmania.
The artwork is printed on heavyweight, fine art paper using archival inks for longevity and vibrant, rich colours.
Your framed print will arrive in a specially constructed cardboard box that is designed to withstand all the love it's thrown during shipping and handling. Our boxes are strong and clearly labelled as 'fragile'. Clear handling instructions are printed on the box so that our shipping carriers take good care of your fish friends.
1. BASIC TIMBER FRAME
Our basic frame option is made from engineered, sustainably sourced plantation timber and includes a rear hanger.
2. PREMIUM TIMBER FRAME
Our premium gallery quality frame is made from solid, sustainably sourced Australian plantation timber. It includes rear taping with a metal hanger and steel wire. This is our favourite option for a natural timber look.
